ah, yes. my mother - the parent who is acknowledged to be manic-depressive - is blaming me for being depressed and uncommunicative. never mind that I have a history of depression, and that it's always manifested in the past as wurning inward, pulling away from contact with people.

it's also somehow my fault for missing her "signals" that she doesn't like my behavior, despite her quite believably masking them as humor. and the lecture continues.
