elfs calls this a "cyborg replacement" for eye lens material; I disagree. the only technological elements are production of, and replacement (of the natural lens material) by, this polymer - in short, it's no more a "cyborg replacement" than is the steel plate that replaced much of my father's left femur, it simply requires a higher technology base to create and use.
