Aug. 24th, 2002 04:06 ammini rant about a not-so-small matter: licensed MMOGs; specifically, The 4th Coming.
people, what's the deal with the "pure server" bullshit? if it's in the game code and Vircom say's it's allowed, then it doesn't change the "purity" of the game. granted, the remort scripts, the XP purchase scripts, and things like that aren't in the game code, and therefore servers that have them aren't "pure".
but you know what? nobody really gives a damn! you sit there on your high horse, saying that because a server has some items that aren't directly available to players (in-game) that server "isn't pure", and all but saying that this is an intolerable evil and everyone who plays on that server is most likely going to burn in hell for their unpardonable sin--and the rest of us laugh at the closed-minded person in the corner and go on having fun.
do you really prefer being a self-righteous prig over enjoying the game?
