every month or so someone in this apartment complex goes out and steps on my tailpipe, breaking all my (rubber) exhaust hangers. I don't understand it. I have neither an uncommon nor an expensive nor a new car, I park in a space nobody else wants to use (walled in on three sides, unroofed, and tight even for a compact), and unlike the majority of tenants I don't stop in the fire lane for more than a minute - just long enough to let my passengers out before I park, the complex lacking any loading zones.

this last time I'd wired up the exhaust in addition to the rubber, which only resulted in the metal brackets being bent as well before the wire broke.
