well, my phone and CPU both arrived and I'm rather pleased with both. rather amazing battery life for having been put into service straight out of the box

not so happy with the Android Keyboard's auto-correction of punctuation though. have to do something about that.

Dunno, Gingerbread doesn't include Swype in default builds and nobody seems to have a Swype keyboard on the Market.

Hm. I never even considered that.

I've been using SwiftKey (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.touchtype.swiftkey) since shortly after I posted this entry, and it's actually pretty close to what I want. Most of my problems are due to the screen picking up my thumb before I actually touch it - apparently I move my thumbs too close to the screen.
