Nov. 12th, 2009 05:34 amhardest lesson to learn about tanking: if a DPS pulls aggro, especially on a side target, they deserve to die. don't taunt, don't change your threat focus to help out. it's an object lesson that's a lot easier to teach in ToC, since you can release and run back in so quickly that as long as the healer and tank stay alive, you can just jump back in and start DPS again.
hell, I've done it as the tank and seen healers do it to, even against bosses. hell of a learning tool.

also related: DKs who Death Grip right after I taunt off the healer. congratulations, you ignorant fuck, you just guaranteed taunt immunity the next time it takes off after someone - and it will.
so looking forward to 3.3 increasing the taunts required to proc immunity from 3 to 8. but of course they'll nerf that just like they reverted the stance-dancing rage dump.
