so. hm. how does one copy a TCHAR pointer, passed as an argument, realloc'd and repurposed into an array of strings, then filled up to the brim, back to the original function in plain [Win32] C?

no, don't tell me. I'm still trying to remember where I left my cheat sheets, aside from somewhere in that dusty bin I laughingly call a brain. though, knowing me, I'm probably approaching the problem from entirely the wrong direction.
