hyuristupid refurbished components. I dropped my mouse on the charger/receiver last night, figuring that, as usual, I would wake up to a full charge. no such luck. instead, I woke up to find the pair significantly melted; the batteries burst while I was sleeping.
it seems that amongst the parts which received a not‐so‐thorough check during the refurbishing was numbered the charging circuit. either that or some 2.5 years of nigh‐constant use was its limit. given the prior problems I’d had with charging though, I think that it was largely the former.
