why did the plastic win...?
Oct. 17th, 2006 02:53 amHarbor Freight is awesome. I picked up a digital multimeter and a set of metric deep impact sockets for $15.06. I almost grabbed a 1/4"-drive stubby ratchet, but only my Torx bits are that small.
I think that a 3/4"-drive impact wrench with an adapter, when combined with some WD-40 and a wire brush, should be sufficient to break the frame members loose on Fräulein Corolla. which should, in turn, make removing the transaxle this time much easier.
unfortunately, I managed to screw up my spiffy, shiny driving record on the way back to VVC. moving at perhaps 10 MPH, I royally fucked up the front end of the Mercury. and I, uh, kinda scratched a Yaris. a little bit. which pisses me off: my vehicle has bent framework, his vehicle has scratched paint. and now the passenger side light cluster is really falling apart.
and it still had the dealer’s vanity plates. needless to say, I am seriously seeking employment.
