quick recap, again

hyuriThursday we flew from Ontario to New Bern with connections in Denver and Charlotte. turboprops provide an interesting difference in the flying experience, a bit less ... consistency? it was a slightly rougher ride both ways, but I found it more enjoyable.
Friday we attended my brother’s graduation from C school (AV-8 power plants mechanic), met some of the officers and SNCOs, got some pictures, waited around a bit, and then dragged our asses over to the PX. after searching for a shot glass with no luck, along with a few mishaps, we were getting ready to leave when my father went into convulsions. once they got him to the hospital and checked him out, they decided it was the DTs. later that night they transferred him to Craven Regional Medical Center—since the Navy hospital (thankfully) has little experience with alcohol withdrawal—where he remains.
Saturday we flew back, connecting in Phoenix instead of Denver this time. I really preferred the A320s to the 737. my grandparents browbeat my mom into keeping my brother with her, giving her one more person to worry about and pay for (lodging, food, etc.). I herded my grandparents through the airports and handled the boarding passes, and then when we got back to Ontario I had to run from terminal 4 to one of the terminal 2 lots (one of the middle ones, naturally) for the car. and then they wouldn’t let me leave.
Sunday I offended my grandparents by insisting that they go away and let me take care of the house, since I know what to do with things.
Monday I did not much of anything. and now it’s Tuesday, which means that I’ve stayed up way too late.
