hyuriso, I have Slackware 9 set up, XFree running properly on my Radeon 9000 with KDE and everything; I got some games, access to the music on my FAT32 drive, and working network/sound cards. hell, even the CD-RW works. so why am I upset? libpng is broken, as is the KLuJe CVS build.
without that little library in working order I can't get a full compile of ZSNES, and I can't compile Visual Boy Advance at all. I tried removing the Slackware packages for libpng, and later zlib, and building them from source, but even though
if I can't get it working in the next couple of days I'm gonna download Red Hat and see how that works out.

make test-installed reports that libpng is in proper working order anything that depends on it won't build; dies on crc32 and some other stuff.if I can't get it working in the next couple of days I'm gonna download Red Hat and see how that works out.
