I conducted an experiment today, with possibly surprising results (unless you’re as cynical as I am). on the way to/from court, I made a conscious effort to change lanes “properly”—signaling first, checking that I was clear, then moving over. none of it rushed.
the result? I got screamed at, flipped off, and honked at a hell of a lot more than usual. I also came very close to getting rear‐ended several times by the usual assholes. y’know, the people who see someone signaling a lane change and decide they must prevent it by placing their car in the way? yeah, them.
conclusion: I’m going to continue being a demon on the road. it’s safer. o_O
