hyurioh yeah, and since I yanked the NIC my dad left in my grandparents' computer and brought it home, I now have everything I need to put together a dedicated Linux box and get it on the network so I can play with Linux without rebooting my main system!
except that it's an old Pentium-class system (MII PR233, actually), so it requires an AT keyboard. which I don't have. and Wal-Mart doesn't have any PS/2->AT adapters. and I don't feel like going all the way to Best Buy just for a little thing like that. oh well.
