tomorrow morning, in theory, my father and I will be replacing the front passenger‑side CV half‑shaft; then, in the afternoon, we’ll be taking a little trip down to MCRD (mail call für meinen Bruder).

I have a small surprise for my father, of course: if that shaft doesn’t get replaced, we will not be going to San Diego. and I have the power to make that stick, since a valid driver’s license is required to drive onto base, and I’m the only licensed driver in the house.

hopefully it won’t come to that, but with my father....
