it’s been a while...

for the first time in over two years, my hair is less than half an inch long. I had my mom cut it all off so I could get used to dealing with hair as it grew—last time, I didn’t wash it properly, didn’t care for it well, just brushed it back and let it go. I was actually avoiding showering so I didn’t have to deal with my hair.

in short, I had a ton of bad habits regarding my hair, and they were affecting the rest of my personal hygiene as well. so the hair went. this time I’m going to try, try, try to care for it properly at all times.

that, and for the first time in almost six months my scalp doesn’t itch. yay! ^^;;;

... and I just realized that I’m going to have to deal with those hellish months where it’s too long to keep out of my eyes, and too short to tie back. crap. guess it’s a good thing we still have all that gel. ¬_¬

Someone once suggested that to me (Mercy, as a matter of fact), but I didn't want to go back to a short, boy-length again. So I just let it grow.

Being rather an admirer of girls with short hair and guys with long, I don’t really tend to view length as masculine or feminine—just styles. Y’know, I’d give a guy with a bob or a high ponytail an odd look, and a girl with a high and tight, but a short crop or long hair tied back or in a braid? Nah.

The one thing I really regret is that we’ll probably never duplicate that bleach job. And that just kinda sucks. I would kill to have hair that color naturally.

It feel weird not having that weight pulling my head back, nor that cushion when I lean back. And despite it being a pretty uniform 1/8 inch all over, my part is still visible. ^^

I miss my long hair. I had it cut to shoulder length months ago, and it *does* look better, but I still miss it so...

Well, it’ll be back down to my shoulders by summer, probably by spring. I just felt it had to go before I could improve. I probably wouldn’t have been so blithe about it (thought of it, and five minutes later half my hair was cut) if my hair didn’t grow so very fast.

aaaahh yes thoses irrtating months where it ish stuck in yer eyes mouth and everywhere else BUT where you want it... i am ALMOST done with them my self... :-D may the force of heavy duty gel be with you
