I think part of my current problem with LJ.NET is that I forgot that VB passed arguments by reference by default. time for a stricter comparison, it seems. but I’ve tweaked a few things in other areas, and they seem to work properly. still trying to figure out the best way to disable the Login button unless the username and password fields are both filled out.

for the login button...

step 1: create a vb sub that checks the length of the content of the two fields. If both are > 0, enable login button, else disable login button (even if it is already disabled, just re-set it).

step 2: make an onchanged event for the two fields, referencing the sub you created above.

lather, rinse, repeat.

Actually, I already had that part figured out. It’s just the specifics I’m waffling on.

And LJ.NET is written in C#. A VB Sub wouldn’t be very useful. ^_~

well, you said VB there in your post, so I was speaking in VB speak :-P

What kind of specifics would cause you to waffle? what kind of waffles are they? do they have syrup or butter or fruit or whipped cream or all of the above?

That’s actually what I’m trying to decide...
