oh, temptation. only real problem is that I can’t exactly set up the rear satellites behind me, since there’s chairs and shit back there, and cats in the house...

anyone know how well they’d work with just the front satellites connected?

Works perfectly fine. My roommate ran them that way last semester.

Though you *could* fake a surround setup by having the front satellites simply set up closer to you and the rears set up further away at the edge of your desk. It works surprisingly well.

I'm stuck using my 5.1 system that way, unfortunately. No space in the back here either.
