anyways, now I'm downloading Slackware 9.0. but there's no ISO image (yet?), so I tracked down a copy of wget for Windows, and the accompanying OpenSSL libs - 'cause I downloaded the latest sources and compiled 'em but they weren't compatible for some reason. so now I'm waiting for wget to finish crawling through the slackware-9.0 directory and downloading everything it can get its grubby little mitts on.


and then to install Slackware 8.1 so I can run mkisofs to create a disc image and then reboot to Windows so I can burn it to a disc and then reformat my little 3.2GB hard drive so I can install Slackware 9.0.
