hyurireading some back posts from a mailing list I’m on; a discussion that had wound its way around to SI. someone suggested reading this story (not work safe; technically “erotica”), because the main characters, well...
in the preface, the author said there were triggery parts which were especially disturbing. I figured, I’m usually somewhat detached when I read something; I’ll be fine.
silly me. this is not particularly pleasant to read. I’m typing this blind, because I can't quite force my eyes to focus. they keep drifting. my guts are clenching. I'm fighting a fairly strong urge to anchor myself.
and for all that, I really do—“enjoy” isn’t at all the right word, ah... I appreciate the story. it hits. too closely, perhaps.
