Yes, F10 was it. Although that actually boots from a "system partition," which seems to be corrupted. I think I know how to fix that, but I'm too lazy right now. ^^
You can download fixes from the compaq website. in those days they saved the bios on the harddisk, which means you had to reinstall the bios from a floppy disk if you got a new harddrive.
