Jul. 22nd, 2012 02:47 amdue to the layout of my room, I had been making tentative plans to purchase something along the lines of a folding screen to block off the doorway.
then I had an epiphany.
I have a lot of books. people like to borrow my books. Home Depot and Lowe's both carry pre-fab shelving. I have access to a table saw and can cut a dado freehand.
I figure a 6'4"x4' shelf (roughly 32 linear feet of ~6" shelving, spaced 9" on-center) would be a pretty good solution to both problems. if it works out well I can duplicate it on the facing wall.
probably be even easier if I can find my 18ga nail gun....
