Feb. 6th, 2007 03:35 amyeah, in the end I did actually get the parts. in exchange, I fixed the brakes on muh parent’s car—which entailed replacement of the rotors and calipers and wheel bearings and a complete fluid flush. and while I was under there I discovered that the control arm bushings and the balljoints and basically anything made of rubber(–like material(s)) involved in the front suspension is basically gone. but new brakes are good brakes: we
I must say, the toll roads through Orange County are nice.
so anyways, playing Gears of War in 720p is sweet. (I have a cat biting my arm as I type this.) even if we only got through the first act this time. I’m sure my brother is sitting up playing DOA or Rumble Roses right now.

I finally started decorating my room, putting up posters for the first time in the almost seven years I’ve lived here. yes, I have trouble handling the idea of real (semi–)permanence.
currently I’m attempting to track down the recovery program I used last time one of my drives shit itself. incidentally, I’m not having any luck, so if someone out there were to point me in the direction of a free source for such a program I would be most grateful.
my next project is selling a new laptop to my brother so that I may assume possession of his. after I am reabsorbed by the monstrosity known as FFXI, of course. at said brother’s urging.
my mom’s phone makes her monitor go all flickery for a few seconds before it starts ringing. o_O I think I need to go pass out now.
testedthem by driving to Oceanside and back.
