Jan. 13th, 2007 12:44 amI strongly suspect that my computer may not be recoverable. the failure of well over a dozen separate attempts to do so is certainly pointing in that direction.
it’s been literally years since I installed Windows on that computer, and none of the hardware dates back that far. hell, some of it has been changed twice—or even more often, in the case of the power supply. I think a large part of my problem lies in my lack of caution when handling the ribbon cables: creases aren’t so much of a problem with 40‐wire, but 80‐wire....
all I want is to be able to go online, play some games, and listen to music. is that really so much to ask?
