got a wild hair up my ass, so I decided to take a look at a forum I threw up a couple years back for a game called The 4th Coming (Aliens, if anyone cares; I was Phreaky,) and fucked up pretty early last year.
amazingly enough, Prohosting still had my account, despite their emails saying that it would be deleted if I didn't become a paying customer. how 'bout that. and Perl is working again on their free accounts, so I killed the .htaccess I had that was screwing things up and went through the old posts.
one thing really stuck out to me; something I said a month or so before it died:

profound, huh?New lesson: don't run Winamp, Apache, MySQL, a SQL client, IE, 3 text editors, and a macro program simultaneously.

Aug. 12th, 2003 05:58 amman, Spider's voice is freakish. he looks like a scrawny, wannabe punk -- kinda like I did for a bit, but much more so. I'm down to just scrawny now. well, if you asked some of my male relatives I'm sure they'd tell you I was a punk, but no way am I punk. but he has this deep, raspy voice. and he's so yummy looking!
don't bother wondering about my sanity: I haven't any. for the last few hours I've been dipping my finger into a tub of sweet & sour sauce as a "snack" and tracking the elusive attractive Litestep theme.

Aug. 12th, 2003 06:53 amy'know, it would be really nice if Litestep actually warned you before overwriting your Windows settings without creating any sort of backup. I had to restore a backup of my registry from earlier this morning (good thing I make a couple every time I boot) in order to be sure I had all my settings back.
