hyuriI had a post about this, but I'm too damn tired to remember any of it.
I decided to try an unofficial BIOS, and it seems to be working quite well. if it's still working well in a week or so, I'll copy it over to the backup chip as well.
and now I'm off to clean the metal shavings out of my eyes.
