hyuridamn. I just got told, in a complete reversal of my parents' previous stance, that if and when I get a job I'll be charged $50 a week "for room and board."
excuse me, what the hell happened to "you'll always have a place to stay?" seems to me there was also something said in that conversation about not being charged for that place to stay.
and then he "suggested" that I should take the rest of my (as yet hypothetical) paycheck and go out on the town once in a while. "make some friends."
yeah. I'll probably be making minimum wage, might not even be full-time work, so I'll probably be bringing home about $100 a week. half of which you'll be taking. and then I'm supposed to go spend the rest, ensuring that I'll never save up enough money to move out of here? fuck you. I already buy my own clothes, my own toiletries, my own books, games, music...
