I like those cold, still nights where the air is so clear that the stars light up everything, as far as you can see, in silvery-blue. the kind of night that the moon would spoil because it's too bright. where all the normal nighttime sounds are somehow absent.

and I like nights in the city, where it's hot and sticky and the air is heavy with sound: Phoenix in mid-summer. I miss that place so much. ;-;
