So, I ended this birthday celebration (we had cake; woo *twirls finger*) $33 richer. Maybe not a hell of a lot, but certainly more than I was expecting. And enough to make up for a bit of clothing—assuming I can find anything that I both like and can fit into (or more properly, won't fall off my scrawny ass).

I've been staying up far too late, the last few days. Really need to stop.

For some reason, gcc won't emerge, despite having successfully emerged the exact same version less than 12 hours ago. Some problem or other with patching it, apparently.

Been reading a fair amount lately. More actual, physical books than usual; mostly by Frank Herbert. Ran through all of Dune and just started on The Dosadi Experiment again. Guess it's all been Herbert, actually.

It takes an awful long time to emerge 441 packages, y'know that? I might be done by the new year, but I won't hold my breath.

I'm going to bed before I start rambling about my underwear or what I have on my bed or some shit like that.

You could set up distcc together with that old workstation of your brothers you found lurking under your desk. it would speed things up a bit...

Problem with setting up distcc on that old thing is, it'd take almost as long to set it up as it would to just do it all with my current setup.
