on my second successful (i.e., survivable) Dodo flight, I -- with my own eyes -- saw the ghost town:


what I'm wondering is: how can anyone not get back there?

Fly north from the airport and then head east, you should find it pretty easily. It appears at about the same distance as cars do, though, so you may need to make a few sweeps. Oh, and it's not solid, so don't worry about where you're flying if you see it. ^_^
