hyuriweeee! ripped the whole damned thing apart today, cleared the BIOS, slapped it back together, plugged it in and got a nifty little error message:
CMOS checksum bad
not a good sign. guess I'm waiting for my new mobo to arrive monday -- assuming the video card gets here when it's supposed to.
