peeve: zealots who claim that Linux never crashes, or has fully functional alternatives to all proprietary software. I used to crash Linux on a fairly regular basis -- oddly, it's been happening less now that I've started using "unstable" versions of various things. and GIMP, the most common example of an open-source alternative, is more comparable to Paint Shop Pro (<=7) than Photoshop.

I'd write more, but I can't quite bring myself to care enough to rant properly. sucks, kinda.
