holly_lama, you've corrupted me. I finally broke and emerged TuxRacer and Frozen Bubble, and am now hopelessly addicted to the latter (it's a Puzzle Bobble clone, how could I not be?).

and I finally found a way to have a system tray/notification area in Fluxbox 0.1.14! docker's a small program (14,863 byte download!) that took all of 10 seconds to emerge, resides in the slit, and lets me get Gaim the hell off my screen. ^_^

now, if only I could discover why xMule 1.7.0 doesn't want to compile...

It wasn't the specific games, just the whole Linux gaming thing. I've managed to go over five years without playing any games on Linux other than the command-line BSD games and a few minutes (total!) of solitaire with Wine, and because of this post (http://www.livejournal.com/users/holly_lama/110349.html), I finally broke.

And it only took 9 days to sink far enough into my brain for me to act on it! XD
