hyurioh, and I'm emerging Fluxbox 0.9.6_pre9, and it is a pain in the ass to figure out how to do that. it's not even a masked release, but the ebuild was sitting right there in /usr/portage/x11-wm/fluxbox, so I was scratching my head and wondering what kind of game they were playing.
a few minutes of poking at the Gentoo forums revealed that I needed to point emerge at the ebuild manually, as in emerge /usr/portage/x11-wm/fluxbox/fluxbox-0.9.6_pre9.ebuild!
what the hell is the point of even having the ebuild if you're going to make us jump through hoops just to use it? I mean, isn't preventing that the whole point of Portage?
