hyuriokay. so 2.6.0-test6 apparently has something changed that causes it to lock up my computer about half an hour after I boot it. looks like I'm sticking to -test5 for now. oh well.
and I really need to look into the options for whatever command-line ALSA mixer I have, see if I can figure out how to unmute the main sound channel and set it to 50 or so automagically instead of doing it manually with alsamixer or alsamixergui.
