Sep. 10th, 2003 10:25 pmI like FluxBox, but I don't so much like the 2.6 kernels. they take forever to compile, and they don't give much in the way of detail while they're doing it. with other large programs (KDE, GNOME, Mozilla, etc.) you get to see exactly what it's doing; Linux 2.6 just tells you which target is being worked on, which step it's on (compiling, linking), and whether it's a module. not much. I do like the module tag, though.
playing around with FluxBox's Slit (that doesn't sound so nice...), seeing what it does and doesn't. I'm thinking that maybe I won't be using XFce anymore - at least until 4.0 is finally released.
got my USE flags and CFLAGS tuned a bit better, so performance might get better as I emerge new versions of my libraries and programs. we'll see.
