hyurithere are, for the most part, only two computer components which fail in this household: motherboards and power supplies. I'm sure you can guess where I'm going here.
my motherboard has been trying to die for almost a year and it's finally succeeded. tried swapping RAM, video card, CPU - everything but the power supply, motherboard, and case, since I have no functional spares of those. also, when a power supply dies it tends to not spin up everything as normal, whereas in this case everything lights up ... but nothing works.
and the power supply I was using in that old post has since given up the ghost, so no morepornfanfic in my room as I'm sick of disassembling these computers.
