hyurihow strange.
on a whim, I looked for one of my cousins on MySpace. she's a year younger than me, and in her pictures looks like she's in her 30s. it seems only the other day that we were still small children.
last I heard she was hospitalized for intentionally overdosing. the last year or so hasn't been kind to her father, my uncle.
I feel rather detached from the situation, to be honest. I hardly know the girl anymore, if I ever really did.

I'm not saying you should seek to get a co-dependent attachment, or insert yourself into a drama llama situation you can't easily extract yourself from, but... she sounds like she could really use a friend right about now. Give 'er a ring, an email, something. See what's crackin'.
