I've come to the conclusion that this house is an incredibly hostile environment for networking devices. our third router just, apparently, died [Sunday] morning. I have a pile of dead NICs, some ISA, some onboard. the main switch has been getting progressively flakier over the last year or so.

my parentsmother will probably be less than thrilled to learn this latest fact. my father will probably continue to believe that it's a problem at Charter's end until after we replace the router and things - magically! - start working again.

also, I hate MAC authentication. cloning is really irritating.
