damn computers

hyuriafter nearly 4 days of continuous -- and fairly heavy -- operation, my computer decided to crash when I started WinMX. now, I probably should have actually installed the bloody program instead of launching it off my WinME install, but still...
anyway, after Win2k crashed (didn't burn, though), I tried ME again, and lo! it worked this time! I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that it continues working, and of all things, poking through Star Trek: The Next Generation episode synopsis/review archives.
I've also been awake for around 20 hours, so my mind has shifted into babble-or-stall mode.
