from time to time I read back through my old journal entries and—damn, did I actually write that? seriously, the writing style in my older, more verbose entries feels so completely foreign to me now. the rambling, disjointed ones always seem more like myself.
we appear to be in the process of acquiring a new cat. there's a stray that's been coming around for a few months now, despite the fact thathalfmost (dammit Yuri!) of the cats already here are incredibly and violently hostile to the idea. persistent little bugger.
or perhaps desperate: we put out food and water. and this cat, despite being almost as large as Saba (strong strains of something around Maine Coon size), looks like it weighs about as much as Mickey (our smallest cat, aboutbeat the hell out ofdiscourage our cats when they hiss and growl and actually attempt to break through the security door(!) into the garage.
it's actually gotten to the point where I can actually speak to the cat without it fleeing, whereas a couple of weeks ago it disappeared if it caught me looking at it—through the door—from across the garage.
