Jun. 28th, 2003 01:51 pmI'm not so sure about this whole National Do Not Call Registry thingy. I mean, they're already supposed to maintain lists of number not to call, so whatthehell? and I've been signing up for shit left and right, online, offline, phone number and all -- and I've had exactly TWO telemarketers call me. they both wanted to sign me up for a credit card; after I explained to the second one that I was unemployed, they went away.
people, don't put your phone number on things where it isn't required; look at the terms of whatever you're putting that number on; and tell them you're not interested, you will never be interested, and to place you on their Do Not Call list when they do call. it may take a while, but you will get less calls.
back to the NDNCR: yeah, I don't like the idea of signing up and putting my personal information in yet another government database. yeah, I'm a paranoid fuck; you wanna make something of it?
