I’ve been reading some of the comments on this post in
lj_biz, and I can only wonder how many of those same people were involved in the scaremongering in the days around the Six Apart purchase of LiveJournal. How many of those predictions—many of which were presented as though they would, must, come true—have actually come to pass?
In my case, I’ve noticed little significant change—excepting, perhaps, a somewhat increased rate of rollout for new features. The only problem I’ve encountered has been a breakage in the sessionexpire method of the LJ client/server protocol—which is not, it would appear, an issue critical to or even noticed by any meaningful number of users.

the good [old] daysbefore anything has even changed. But I suppose that’s rather unrealistic of me; perhaps I should stick to wishing for a winning lottery ticket.
