more specifically, I pity the people who “can’t” change a tire or fix their brakes because damn! that shit is easy! I mean, you need what, a jack, a tire iron, a modest level of upper‐body strength, and a screwdriver or wrench? my mom can do it!

well, okay, unless your shop decided to crank on the lugs with an impact wrench. that just sucks, and they should kill it as soon as it starts ratcheting. but even that isn’t insurmountable with one of those nice cruciform tire irons. (depending on how much torque they applied, you simply add a foot or knee to the equation.)

seriously, it only took ten minutes to swap a pair of tires, manually adjust the rear (drum) brakes, and change a wiper blade. including the time spent asking how to adjust the brakes. gripping handbrake == teh gewd.

also, Del Taco’s Tacos Del Carbon are quite good, though small. even if they did give me a beef taco, rather than the chicken I ordered.

I've changed tires before... but brakes? I dunno... that seems daunting.

It isn’t, really. Easier than changing oil, really, and a lot less hassle than changing spark plugs in many newer cars.

Oh, and I forgot the C‐clamp used to depress the piston cylinders. Meh. It’s a hell of a lot easier to do than it is to explain.
