gawd I hate factoring. strike that. I hate anything where I have to show my work: it makes me do it the long way instead of look–jump–check.

Tell me about it. I can work several steps in my head, write the result, look at it, do several more steps in my head, and so on. . . so what's the point of showing work? Meh.

Besides, the asstards who taught me to write never bothered to correct the crab-claw grip I use on a pencil, so my hand cramps quickly anyway. Double meh.
