a quick ramble

hyurihaven’t really been updating properly lately; sorry about that. video card burned out early Friday morning, had to downgrade to my brother’s Radeon 9000 to still have a computer. since then, my speakers haven’t worked right—or more accurately, the onboard sound hasn’t. no matter what I do, it won’t send anything through the rear output. pissing me off.
in other news, my cousin got sentenced to 90–120 in a halfway house for visiting his daughter. long story; not going into it. felt like shit when I woke up this morning, ’cause I missed him IMing me and telling me he had gotten this item for me. guy was looking at probable jail time, and he spends a week busting his ass in a game to find me an item so I can move on, then he finally gets it the night before his court date and I’m not even awake.
great way to feel like a worthwhile human being, lemme tell ya. ._.
he actually came back a bit after that and we got some gaming in together, so it was cool. man, I felt like an ass, though.
grandmother bought some computer upgrades for my mom, but we agreed that I’ll dump them in mine and she can have what I have right now. so I’ll end up with an Athlon XP 2600+ and she’ll get the 2500+. looks like I might be getting a Radeon 9800 of some sort for/around Christmas, if they don’t spend that $100/month in November and December. so actually I might wind up with whatever I can get for my gift money, but whatever.
been feeling like shit the last few days. good old frozen extremities and lethargy and all that. missed my cousin because I slept about sixteen, seventeen hours. not good, that.
wonder if my dad’s actually making enchiladas tonight. he said he was, but he said that yesterday, too. eh, guess I’ll find out when I wake up and look for food.
