sweet flaming jebus on a stick! I grew up with a Japanese grandmother, who speaks with a, uh, noticeable accent, and I still can’t understand these damned Indian telemarketers.

could be worse, I suppose. at least I’m not getting junk mail... and my spam quota has been dropping...

I'm terrible with accents. I don't speak more than four phrases in Mandarin, and I'd have better luck understanding someone speaking Chinese than speaking english with a Chinese accent.

after working in a bank for 2 years in an area densely populated with middle-easterners, indians, asians, latinos and europeans, i have the distinct ability to understand just about anybody. it freakin rocks. LOL

Why would you want to try to understand an Indian telemarketer anyway? Is there actually an offchance that one of those companies is selling something you want? Anti-kitten electrical fences?
