Aug. 16th, 2004 04:07 amwhy do I always wait for everyone to go to bed before I play Doom 3? and in the past I did the same thing with Resident Evil 2, RE3, Silent Hill 2, Half‑Life, some text games in the same vein...
yes, they do actually freak me out. but I never seem to want to play them when other people are around—even though I really, really want other people around when I start playing them.
that’s one of the reasons I miss the last place we had before this house (not counting the living‑with‑grandparents thing in between). when I got really freaked out by something, I’d just go into my brother’s room and curl up at the foot of his bed and go to sleep. it worked because I only had to walk about 10′ from my bed to his; here ’d have to walk the entire length of the house. -_-
I wonder how much I’d freak people out if I told them that I was looking for a lover like my brother. XD especially if I didn’t clarify that the only similarity I was looking for was the sense of security. ^_^
so, played some more DDR; introduced Jill to DDR and Wienerschnitzel (need to go back: I’ve discovered that I like their pretzel buns); and had a ridiculous conversation on the way back. also discovered that the Blockbuster here rolls up at 2200. grar. -_-
