I like anonymous functions in theory, but I still prefer to find a way to use a named function instead due to Lua (or at least WoW's version of it) using so much memory and CPU time when you define one inside a loop. the fact that they so far appear to be unavoidable in many such contexts where performance is critical is very irritating.

also, tanking Shannox is annoying and boring. tanking Riplimb, on the other hand, is hilariously awesome. I learned to truly love Heroic Leap and Intervene that night. Firelands is very much a tank-mobile raid.

my friend is trying to sell me on working with him at ampm on the basis that everyone gets hit on there all the time, no matter what they look like!. um. no. you had me at working about 30 hours a week, which is such a massive improvement over what I have now. frankly, I'm satisfied with nobody hitting on me. lonelier than necessary, perhaps, but content.
