Sep. 2nd, 2008 02:38 amstupid makes me smoke. cloves make stupid amuse me, so I seek more stupid. this is a bad cycle, but the entertainment factor is high.
in other news, steel epoxy putty makes a dandy repair item for old Datsun door latches. it's nice to have a working driver's door. also my grandparents, citing Army statements indicating a current, and increasing, shortage of company-grade and junior field-grade officers, have expressed a desire for me to go back to school. which I only left because they stopped paying for it. go figure.
tomorrow I get to drive to Yuma and back, along the same route used to reach the Imperial Dunes, on the day after Labor Day. yay me. I also don't get to leave town until probably 1600-1700, so in all likelihood I'll be driving back after midnight. more yay.
I had a bit of a rant about CFCs, atomic chlorine, ozone, and haloalkanes, among other related subjects, but I feel like I should flesh it out and save it for a chemistry class or something. just to give them an excuse to fail me, maybe.
there's a couple of strays (mostly) living out in the garage. one of them is a beautiful ghost-grey with white socks and tail-tip, the other is ... well, it looks kind of like a long-haired Siamese, really. the long-hair doesn't show much, being either more timid or less desperate than the grey. who keeps showing up with ribs poking out, visible despite a fairly thick coat. I seem to have sufficiently discouraged our cats from trying to start shit when it comes out at night though.
