fuck the infinitives
Apr. 7th, 2008 07:50 pmokay, so I'm sitting in my room typing this up on a cobbled-together ghetto rig (seriously, I had to take the case off the power supply because it overheats) after my motherboard shit itself.
I have the worst fucking luck with motherboards, y'know? damn thing was only, uh... 15 months old? and it's not the shortest-lived one I've ever had. and it was an upgrade (with CPU) because of, surprise! a motherboard failure. I have five fucking CPUs that work perfectly, all orphaned by their motherboards.
on a not-unrelated note, it's really depressing going from a 2.1GHz dual-core to an old P3 800. I'd try overclocking it, but the fact that it's my only computer at the moment coupled with the fact that it's a ghetto-rig makes that not as tempting as it might otherwise be.
on the up side, I've been catching up on my console gaming a bit. got a couple of chapters further into Xenosaga Episode I, started a new save in Kingdom Hearts, etc.
